Part 1: General Information
Section 1: Introduction
UCPL is a team league for the UC Schools. There are seven schools participating in this league (UCSD, UCLA, UCB, UCD, UCI, UCR, and UCSB), which follows the Korean proleague format for clanwars - there are four pre-determined 1v1 matches with an ACE match should there be a tie. The first team to reach 3 wins is the winner of the clan-war. The league is played round robin style, with the top four teams qualifying for the playoffs, and the eventual winner being crowned UCPL Champions.

Section 2: When and Where
The league is played Sunday nights at 8pm PST for each playday. Each team will meet in the default channel (op UCPL @ ICCUP), and can from there move into separate channels.

Section 3: Submitting Lineups
Lineups are due by the Monday (midnight PST) preceding the playday - and lineups will be posted Tuesday, giving teams adequate time to practice. Team leaders must send their lineups to me correctly (Player name / Map / Race must be listed).

Part 2: Team and Player Stipulations
Section 1: Roster and Lineups
- A player can only play a maximum of ONE pre-determined matches per playday.
- A player can only play in a maximum of four ace matches in the regular season.

Section 2: Player Stipulations for Clanwars
- Players must wear the proper team-tag. Non-tagged players will not be allowed to play.
- Players must be added to the roster at least a week before the first match they play.

Section 3: Replacements
- Each team is allowed (4) replacements for the entire season (including the playoffs). The replacing player must play the same race as the player he replaces. So for example if Louder (protoss) does not show up, I must play protoss if I want to replace him.

Part 3: Playing the Match
Section 1: Order, Etc
Teams should assemble in the proper channel 15 minutes before the start time. Matches will start promptly at 8pm PST. The games will be played in order. Finally if there is a tie, an ace match will be played to determine the winner.

Section 2: A player is late or absent
As a general rule, there is a five minute grace period for a player to show up - if the player does not show up, the next match will start. If at the conclusion of the second match, the player from the first match still has not arrived, the team may replace a player (if they have a replacement) OR the opposing team will receive a free win for that game.

Section 3: Disallowed Techniques / Bugs, Etc
The use of any of the following will result in *ALL* matches played by the player committing the offense to be reversed, multiple offenses will cause the team to be removed from the league.
1) Common bug - allied mines, worker and unit stack, obs on turret, etc.
2) Any visible abuse of listening to the shoutcast while playing
3) Having help from observers of any kind
4) Use of third party programs such as maphack, auto-mine, etc
5) Account sharing
6) Excessive bad manner or unsportsmanlike behavior.

Section 4: Disconnections
If a disconnect occurs within the first five minutes of a game and there is no action - the game will be re-played. If a disconnect occurs later in the game, the admin on duty will decide if there was a significant advantage or not. If there was a distinct advantage for one player, a win will be awarded; if not the game must be re-played.

Section 4a: Leaving the game
If a player leaves the game - the result is considered a loss for the player leaving the game, and a win for the opposing player. Do not leave the game unless you are admitting loss. In addition, do not say "gg" until the game is over.

Part 4: After the match
Section 1: Scoring
The primary determinant of standing goes by a teams' win/loss record. A clanwar win counts as a +1 win and -1 loss for the losing team. Points are a secondary characteristic - if there is a record tie between two or more teams at the end of the regular season, the team with the most points will be ranked higher. Points are calculated quite easily: the amount of points a team earns is the total number of games won minus the number of losses. A team that loses a clanwar earns 0 points.

**EXAMPLES**: Team A defeats Team B with a score of 3-0. Team A earns 3 points, Team B earns 0 points.
Team A defeats Team B with a score of 3-2. Team A earns 1 point, Team B earns 0 points.

Section 2: Ranking and Playoff Qualification
The top four ranked teams at the end of the regular season will qualify for the playoffs. The first placed team will play the fourth placed team, and the second placed team will play the third place team. The winner of these matches will face off in the grand final. The format of the grand final is Best of Seven instead of the normal Best of Five for the regular season and semi-finals.
